Birchbox January – Reviews (video!)

Here it is, finally, all of my reviews of the products I received in January’s Birchbox subscription!  Hopefully I’ve made it easier for you all to digest into one cheerful, funny video…

For those of you who can’t be bothered to watch the vid, here’s a quick written round-up:

Philip Kingsley Flakey-Itchy Scalp Shampoo:  Yup, I didn’t use this at all. Sorry!  Completely down to my sulphate and silicone free hair regime, which you can read about/watch here.  This shampoo has a sulphate in it, if you hadn’t guessed.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum:  Sadly I don’t think this matches my skin type.  My dry/dehydrated skin adores thick moisture-boosting and hydrating creams.  This one, I think, would suit oily/combination skin types.

HealGel Body:  I didn’t really ‘get’ the purpose for this product.  I used it on my spots and blemishes after cleansing and it seem to calm them somewhat, but still no more so than Savlon, which is quarter of the price.

activebod Feel Great Shower Concentrate:  basically a shower girl to be used post-workout.  The results? Just feels like your basic shower gel, with a nice smell of course.

Embrace Matcha Green Tea:  I was totally expecting this to be strong and merciless in bad taste, but I actually quite enjoyed it.  £24.99 is a bit expensive for tea though, isn’t it?

Birchbox Pilates band:  Disappointingly, there weren’t a list of exercises you could do with this in the booklet Birchbox provided.  I’ve not used it, but I go to the gym almost four times a week anyway, so I don’t really need this.

Stila Lip Glaze:  In Gleam, and oh my how it does!  A really lovely grown up lip gloss, with a great brush applicator which leaves lips sparkling without a bubblegum scent most glosses had in my teenage years.  My favourite product from this month!

February’s box is on its way to me right now!  I have noo idea what it has inside so follow me (on here or my YouTube channel) to find out what I get this month!

As always, feel free to comment and ask questions below and if you’re not signed up to Birchbox yet and are thinking about it, then use my referral code to get us both £5 free to spend in the shop.  Right here:
